Personal Statement

AFest laughing 940 x 470

Music is my oldest friend, the one I could always count on to soothe my spirit and deliver guidance, especially during the hard times.

As a kid, I remember listening intently to the lyrics of great singer-songwriters like Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Jim Croce and Harry Chapin, and to bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Doors and The Beatles, feeling peace and calm.

As a young man, trying to find my way in the world, I gravitated toward personal-growth books, programs and seminars to help answer the question,“Why am I here?”

Over the years through decades of struggle, this curiosity led me to absorb a plethora of personal growth content, attend a variety of seminars and workshops, and eventually pursue an advanced degree in Counseling Psychology.

In 2007, I started an online marketing agency for personal and professional growth experts. Through this experience, I became aware of the disturbing fact that, much like home exercise equipment that’s never used, the vast majority of personal growth books and programs purchased, are never opened.

Five years later, I finally achieved the financial success I thought would bring happiness. In what seemed like a huge cosmic joke, the monetary achievement felt hollow. An inner voice kept telling me that the lessons I had learned could benefit others tremendously. Now, it was time to give back.

Then, I discovered what I call “The Tombstone Exercise” which changed my life forever. I closed my eyes and visualized what I wanted written on my tombstone. Focusing within, I connected my passion for music with my belief in personal empowerment and the vision for “Music for Positive Change” was born.

My enduring goal is to deliver the same uplifting insights found in all those books, programs and seminars, through the medium of music.

It’s a challenging journey, becoming your authentic-self and no one can do it for you…but sometimes having tools, to help you clear away the clutter, connect with spirit and what’s really important, can be helpful. If my music helps you do that, I am sincerely honored. Thank you for visiting my site and reading this letter.

Best wishes,
