Chris Chickering

Chris Chickering is a singer-songwriter whose music is an invitation to self-discovery, reflection, and inspirational thinking. Since 2012 he has released six studio albums, working with a renowned team of producers, engineers and musicians. Chris connects with audiences at public and privately hosted events worldwide.

His music blends messages of healing, empowerment and unity, with folk, rock, and world music influences. No matter who you are or where you are on your life’s journey. Chris Chickering’s universal songs are guaranteed to speak to you as if you are the only one listening. To listen: Artist Site, Apple Music, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify.

Fueled by a love of singing, and belief in the power of music to change people’s lives, Chris founded Music for Positive Change, a nonprofit venture that exists to unite and heal hearts through music, through the creation and performance of thoughtfully written, professionally produced songs of healing, empowerment and social responsibility.

Chris has always found music to be a source of peace and inspiration, especially during his most challenging times. Growing up in San Francisco, he was influenced by artists like Cat Stevens, Neil Young, and The Rolling Stones, and moved by the humanitarian efforts of singer-songwriter Harry Chapin, to create his own unique message-driven sound.

Great music starts with great songs. In the fall of 2011 Chris and three-time Emmy-winning, Grammy-nominated songwriter Greg Barnhill (“Walkaway Joe,” “House of Love”), discovered their shared passion for writing, producing and performing songs that lift people’s spirits. Since then they have co-written over one hundred songs and have joined forces on six studio albums.

For each of his albums Chris has collaborated with a number highly acclaimed producers, engineers and musicians including Greg Bieck (Lionel Richie), Dan Dugmore (The Eagles), Tony Lucido (Keith Urban), Vail Johnson (Kenny G), Mills Logan (Taylor Swift), Mike Durham (Dave Matthews), Ilya Tochinskiy (Carrie Underwood), Tim Lauer (Cheap Trick), Jimmy Wallace (The Wallflowers), Ron Cohen (The Voice), Shawn Fichter (Tim McGraw),  John Kurzweg (Jewel), Alison Prestwood (Faith Hill), Ben Phillips (Blake Shelton), Mike Payne (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Dane Bryant (Clint Black), Pat McGrath (Luke Bryan), Richard Hardy (Kenny Loggins), and Jim Hoke (Bob Seger).
